This winter overall from Blaklader is designed for tradespeople, electricians, road and construction workers, service technicians and oil and gas workers who face multiple hazards at once in cold, wet conditions. The overall is inherently flame-resistant and completely metal-free, meaning the protection is built into the fibre itself and won't wear off over time. Finished in Hi-Vis yellow/navy with segmented reflective transfer stripes on the shoulders, it keeps the wearer visible from every angle.
The fabric blend of modacrylic, cotton, polyamide, polyurethane and aramid is laminated, waterproof up to 12,000 mm and both windproof and breathable. In practice, this keeps rain and wind out while letting moisture escape from inside, which makes a real difference in comfort during physical work in winter weather. The quilted, warm lining adds further insulation against the cold, while hidden stretch panels on the back allow freedom of movement for tasks that involve a lot of bending and reaching. Welded seams and reinforced knee and calf areas add to the garment's durability on demanding job sites.
The overall meets a wide range of protection standards: EN ISO 11612 covers protection against heat and flame, EN ISO 11611 addresses welding hazards, EN 13034 protects against splashes of certain chemicals, and EN 1149-5 helps dissipate static electricity. The EN ISO 20471 Class 3 rating is the highest level of high-visibility classification for roadside work. Under EN 343 Class 4/1 the material is rated waterproof and breathable, while EN 342 assesses the cold protection of the whole garment. On top of that, the overall provides arc flash protection to IEC 61482-2 with protection class APC 2, which matters for anyone working with electrical arc flash risk.
Practical features such as the leg pocket, reinforced ruler pocket with knife holder, external knee pad pockets and an inside pocket make the overall genuinely useful on site, outdoors or around electrical installations. The helmet-compatible hood 2167 is available separately, so the overall can be adapted to changing weather and working conditions.
