The Jakob multi-norm base layer is a functional undergarment for anyone who needs extra protection against heat and electrostatic hazards underneath their outer workwear. The outer fabric, made from modacrylic, cotton and a small proportion of carbon fibre, weighs around 210 g/m² and results in a material that feels comfortable on the skin despite its protective function. The blend wicks away moisture while remaining breathable, so the base layer stays comfortable even during long shifts. Extra-flat contrast seams, an elastic waistband and the ergonomic fit keep freedom of movement intact even when worn under additional protective clothing.
EN ISO 11612 A1 B1 C1 confirms flame-resistant protection along with limited flame spread and protection against convective and radiant heat. EN 1149-5 stands for the antistatic finish that prevents electrostatic charge build-up - essential wherever spark formation poses a risk.
