This sweatshirt is built for trades where heat, electric arc flash and static build-up are real occupational hazards: electricians, road and construction workers, and service technicians get a garment that combines several protective functions in one durable base layer. The round, ribbed crew neck and ribbed cuffs keep the fit practical for daily wear without limiting freedom of movement.
The fabric is a blend of FR polyester, modacrylic, cotton and an antistatic fibre, knitted to a weight of 330 g/m². These fibres are inherently flame-resistant, meaning the protection is built into the fabric itself and won't wash out over time. The brushed inner surface makes a real difference to comfort against the skin, while dark-coloured panels in areas prone to soiling help the garment keep a clean, professional look even after tough use.
Certification covers EN 61482-2 (APC 1) for protection against electric arc flash, EN 1149-5 for antistatic properties, and EN ISO 11612 for protection against heat and flame. It also meets the high-visibility requirements of EN ISO 20471 - Class 2 in sizes XS and S, rising to Class 3 from size M upwards. The broken, flame-resistant transfer reflective stripes are segmented to preserve flexibility and freedom of movement.
This makes the sweatshirt a solid choice for anyone facing multiple hazards on the job at once, such as road crews, rail-side workers or electrical trades, where staying visible matters just as much as staying protected from flame and arc flash. The garment is also available as women's model 3454.
