The Klaas PU rain trousers are built for anyone working outdoors in wet and windy conditions who also needs to stay visible. Finished in fluorescent yellow with welded reflective stripes, they are clearly designed as high-visibility workwear for jobs where both weather protection and visibility matter.
The outer material is PU coated onto a polyester carrier fabric, weighing in at around 230 g/m². In practice this means a lightweight, supple feel that doesn't restrict movement, without compromising on protection. A water column of 8,000 mm combined with fully welded seams keeps rain out even during prolonged exposure, while the fabric stays breathable and stretches in both directions for extra freedom of movement. The elastic waistband with an additional drawstring and the press-stud adjustable leg cuffs allow the fit to be tailored to the wearer.
These trousers combine several types of protection in one garment. EN ISO 20471 Class 1 provides high-visibility protection, improving how well the wearer is seen in poor light. EN 343 Class 4/1/X confirms protection against wind and water penetration. The EN ISO 14116 Index 1 rating means the fabric is flame-retardant and will not continue burning uncontrollably if it comes into contact with flame. EN 1149-5 adds antistatic properties, reducing the risk of electrostatic charge build-up. EN ISO 13688, the general standard for protective clothing, ensures the garment meets basic requirements for ergonomics and labelling.
