The Multinorm Overall Inherent from Blaklader is designed for anyone facing multiple hazards on the job at once, whether that's electricians, road crews, or construction workers dealing with heat, flames, chemical splashes, arc flash risk, and poor visibility in traffic. Instead of adding a flame-resistant coating afterwards, the fire-retardant properties are built directly into the fibres of the fabric, so they hold up wash after wash.
The ripstop fabric, made from modacrylic, cotton, FR polyamide and aramid with an antistatic component, feels soft against the skin and allows real freedom of movement when crouching or working overhead. The knees are reinforced with CORDURA®/Kevlar®/Protal® fabric, which toughens up the area that wears out fastest on any coverall. Pockets under heavy strain are double-reinforced, and the outer fabric repels water and dirt without stiffening the garment. The coverall is completely metal-free and has been tested and approved for up to 50 wash cycles.
In practical terms, this combination of standards covers a lot of ground: EN ISO 11612 protects against heat and flames, EN ISO 20471 class 3 ensures maximum visibility near traffic, EN 1149-5 dissipates static electricity, EN ISO 11611 is built for welding work, and EN 13034 protects against limited exposure to liquid chemicals. Certification to IEC 61482-2 with an ATPV rating of 11 cal/cm² adds arc flash protection on top, which is exactly what's required for electrical work.
That makes this overall a strong fit for electricians, road and construction workers, and service technicians who need dependable, all-round protection across changing sites and weather conditions. Loops for a gas detector or microphone, a high zip-up collar, and adjustable cuffs keep it practical for daily wear under full gear.
