The Mapa® Vital 117 is a chemical-resistant glove made from natural latex, designed for work where hands need reliable protection from liquids as well as mechanical stress. At around 30 cm long, it extends well past the wrist, giving added protection to the forearm during overhead tasks or when handling larger containers. The straight cuff makes the glove easy to put on while still sitting securely in place.
At roughly 0.35 mm thick, the material stays comfortably thin without sacrificing durability for everyday use. The flocklined interior helps manage moisture and keeps the glove comfortable to wear over longer periods, while the textured palm ensures a secure grip even when tools or components are slightly wet or oily. Natural latex also moulds closely to the hand, resulting in excellent dexterity for tasks such as handling small parts or precision work.
In terms of protection, the Vital 117 covers several areas at once: EN 388 indicates resistance to mechanical hazards such as abrasion, cuts and punctures, EN 374 Type B Category 3 confirms resistance to specific chemicals, and EN 421 certifies protection against ionising radiation and radioactive contamination.
