This pair of painter shorts from Blaklader is cut specifically for women and designed for female painters and other tradeswomen who need a rugged yet flexible work trouser for the job site or interior work. The pre-shaped legs follow the body's natural movement, so kneeling or crouching never feels restrictive. A range of functional pockets, including a dedicated leg pocket for filling knives and brushes and an inner phone pocket, make it a genuinely practical companion for daily work.
The fabric is 100% cotton canvas at 270 g/m², giving the trousers a durable feel with good absorbency against sweat and moisture. Stretch panels are placed exactly where painters need them most: at the crotch, knees, hip and calf, allowing free movement during repetitive kneeling and reaching. The tool and ruler pockets, along with the external knee pad pockets, are further reinforced with CORDURA® at the points that see the heaviest wear. Thoughtful details such as the elastic waistband, the D-ring on the belt and the metal button round off the construction.
The knee pad pockets are tested to EN 14404-3 together with Blaklader's matching knee pads 4027, 4037 or 4057, confirming a defined level of protection for the knees during kneeling work. The fabric itself is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, meaning it has been tested for harmful substances, which matters for a garment worn close to the skin for long shifts.
