The Kuma ESD is an S2-rated safety shoe from the Hygiene collection, built for anyone who needs dependable protection combined with electrostatic dissipative properties in their daily work. Its SlimCap toe cap withstands an impact of 200 joules while keeping the shoe's profile slim, so protection never comes at the cost of a bulky fit.
The water-repellent microfibre upper keeps moisture out, while the SmellStop lining helps maintain a comfortable foot climate even during long shifts. The mono-PU outsole cushions every step and adds shock absorption at the heel, which makes a noticeable difference during extended periods of standing or walking. The orthopaedic, custom-moulded footbed meets the European standard DGUV 112-191 and supports an ergonomic fit throughout the day.
The Kuma ESD is certified to EN ISO 20345:2022 +A1:2024 in class S2 with the additional markings ESD, CI, FO and SR. In practice this means the shoe dissipates electrostatic charge to protect sensitive electronic equipment, resists water penetration and upper absorption, stays insulated against cold down to -17°C, withstands fuel and oil, and offers reliable slip resistance thanks to its ceramic and glycerol-tested outsole. This makes it particularly suited to environments with electrostatic risks, such as electronics manufacturing, as well as jobs where wet, cold and slippery conditions come together. It is also vegan-friendly and completely metal-free.
