The Kratos Helixon fall arrest block with a 10-metre steel cable is designed for work at height where users need freedom of movement while staying reliably protected in the event of a fall. Suitable for users up to 140 kg, it can be used both vertically and horizontally, making it a versatile choice for fall protection on construction sites, in industrial settings, or during maintenance work.
The housing is made of sturdy polyamide and features a hinged inspection window, allowing the condition of the cable inside to be checked without opening the unit. The galvanised steel wire cable with a 4.8 mm diameter provides the abrasion and weather resistance needed for daily use on site. A cord guides the cable as it retracts, ensuring smooth, even winding without tangling, which makes handling noticeably easier in everyday work.
Certified to EN 360, the unit has an integrated braking system that limits the impact force in a fall to under 6 kN, significantly reducing the strain on the body. A lanyard shock absorber is included, which current PPE regulations require for horizontal work. This means the device is also properly equipped for use on horizontal or angled anchor points in compliance with the standard.
The Kratos Helixon is aimed at companies and professionals working at height, such as scaffolders, roofers, installation crews, and maintenance or inspection teams, who need a fall arrest solution for both vertical and horizontal applications.
