The Kratos® twin lanyard with integrated energy absorber is a connecting element for personal fall protection, fitted with two scaffold hooks for continuous attachment. It is designed for anyone working at height on scaffolding, roofs or similar structures who needs to move between anchor points without ever being unsecured, since the two hooks allow one connection to be released only after the other is already attached.
The lanyard itself is made from braided 11 mm polyamide rope, reinforced with thimbles at the terminations to improve abrasion resistance. The seams are protected beneath a transparent sheath, shielding them from wear and weather while still allowing a visual check of their condition. Steel fittings give the assembly the strength needed for demanding site conditions, and at 1.5 metres in length it suits tasks carried out within a limited working radius, such as close to a scaffold structure.
The EN 355 standard applies to energy absorbers and defines how they reduce the forces generated during a fall to a level the body can safely withstand.
