The Blåkläder 4067 knee protector is a smart solution for anyone who still wants proper knee protection while wearing shorts. It's worn directly over the leg and combines with the matching knee pads 4027 or 4057 to form a complete Type 1 knee protection system. That makes it a practical choice for tradespeople who switch between long and short workwear depending on the weather, without giving up protection when working on their knees.
Made from durable CORDURA® Stretch at 320 g/m² with a reinforced panel over the knee, the protector holds up well even when kneeling on rough surfaces. The back is made from a breathable stretch mesh that improves airflow and keeps the skin from overheating underneath. The top edge is adjustable with an elastic band and a hook-and-loop fastener, so the fit can be tailored to the individual and stays securely in place during movement.
Combined with knee pad 4027, the protector meets EN 14404-2 Type 2, Level 1; combined with knee pads 4037 and 4057, it meets EN 14404-3 Type 2, Level 0. These standards cover protection while working in a kneeling position, with Level 1 offering somewhat higher protection against point loads than Level 0 - relevant when working on hard or uneven ground. It's also certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, confirming it's been tested for harmful substances.
The 4067 knee protector is used by bricklayers, tilers, flooring installers, roofers, electricians, plumbers and road construction workers, among others - anywhere kneeling work is part of the job but freedom of movement still matters. It's supplied as a pair, so both knees are covered.
