The Blaklader Service knee pad is built for anyone who only needs knee protection now and then, rather than all day long. It suits people who occasionally have to kneel on smooth surfaces but don't want a rigid, bulky pad getting in the way. Coming in one size that fits all, it works as a unisex solution across trades.
Made from polyethylene, the pad has a light and soft feel that moulds itself to the shape of the knee instead of staying stiff. That flexibility is particularly noticeable when moving between standing, bending and kneeling throughout the day. The pad should be removed from the trousers before washing, which points to straightforward day-to-day handling.
On the protection side, the knee pad is certified to EN 14404-3, Type 2, Level 0. This standard covers knee protection that is built into or combined with clothing, and Level 0 indicates basic protection intended for occasional kneeling on flat, smooth surfaces. It's worth noting that the pad is only certified when used together with trousers designed for it, specifically models marked S1G, F1G or M1G.
