The Blaklader 2878 is a thin, unlined work glove designed specifically for children's hands. That makes it just as suitable for adults with smaller hands who need a fully functional work glove but struggle to find the right fit in standard sizes. As the narrower, shorter-fingered version of the 2873, it offers a properly sized alternative in size 6 without compromising on fit or protection.
The palm is made from synthetic leather, while the back of the hand uses polyester with a PU coating and touch function. This combination keeps the glove thin and flexible, preserving fingertip sensitivity and dexterity, which matters for precision tasks where a bulky glove would only get in the way. The touch function on the fingers, thumb and palm lets you operate smartphones and touchscreens without taking the glove off. Reinforced fingertips and a reinforced index finger add durability where wear is highest, and the materials used are chrome-free.
Certified to EN 388, the glove provides basic mechanical protection and falls under PPE category 2. That makes it a practical choice for everyday work in dirty and damp conditions, without sacrificing the feel needed for fine motor tasks.
The 2878 is typically used for assembly and general work where dexterity and touch sensitivity count, such as in workshops, warehouses, or smaller repair and build jobs where children or teenagers lend a hand.
