Blaklader uses a three-dimensional fleece that stretches and flexes with the body while providing warmth exactly when it's needed, whether that's wind, rain, or cold outdoors. Designed as a hybrid between a jacket and a sweater, it comes in sizes from 98/104 up to 158/164, covering several stages of growth.
The fabric is 97% polyester and 3% elastane in a jacquard knit, brushed on one side, with a solid 290 g/m² weight that feels sturdy without being bulky. The stretch factor means the cardigan moves with kids as they climb, run, or play, rather than restricting them. Reinforced shoulders and an extended back add to its everyday durability, while the elastic hem band helps keep warmth in. According to the manufacturer, care is straightforward: wash at 40°C, no bleach, no dry cleaning, no ironing, and no tumble drying.
Everyday practicality comes from the zippered chest pocket and the two zippered front pockets, which keep small items secure. A plastic zip with an inner wind flap blocks draughts, and reflective material on the back improves visibility in low light, useful on the way to school or when playing outside.
