The Nitras LITE SHIELD PRO bump cap is built for anyone who needs head protection on the job without the bulk of a traditional hard hat. Instead of a rigid helmet shape, it comes in a sporty cap design with a short peak and a navy blue textile cover that looks more like a baseball cap than safety gear. That makes it a good fit for environments with lower bump risk, where some protection is still needed alongside a neat, approachable appearance.
Inside sits a sturdy ABS shell that provides the actual impact protection, wrapped in a nylon textile cover. This cover can be removed and washed, which is a real advantage for hygiene when the cap is worn day after day. A soft sweatband and foam padding inside add to wearing comfort, while ventilation openings help regulate heat and prevent that stuffy feeling after hours of use. At roughly 164 grams, the cap is also very lightweight, something that becomes noticeable during long shifts. An elastic band inside lets you adjust the fit to a head circumference of 52 to 65 centimetres, so it suits most head sizes.
As PSA category II equipment, the LITE SHIELD PRO offers basic protection against everyday bumps, such as those that can happen when bending down or working in tight spaces. Reflective elements built into the design also improve visibility in low light or poorly lit areas. The cap remains usable down to temperatures of -20 degrees Celsius, making it a practical option for outdoor work or cold storage environments too.
