The FP41 self-retracting lifeline is built for anyone working at height who needs to stay mobile without giving up fall protection. Instead of a fixed lanyard, it uses a retractable rescue line made from 4.8 mm steel wire cable, 10 m long, that follows the user's movements and only locks when a fall occurs.
The cable sits on a reel inside a protective housing and is automatically rewound by a spring, so there's no slack line creating a trip hazard on site. An inertia brake mechanism lets the cable pay out and retract smoothly during normal movement, then locks instantly if it detects the sudden acceleration of a fall. A swivelling karabiner with a double safety lock clips on securely and resists accidental opening, while the built-in fall indicator makes it immediately obvious after an incident that the unit needs to be inspected.
The device is CE certified and rated for a maximum load of 140 kg. Its service life is 10 years from the manufacturing date shown on the product label. Combined with quick, straightforward installation, the FP41 is a practical choice for work on roofs, scaffolding or plant and equipment, wherever freedom of movement and dependable fall protection both matter.
