The polyester outer fabric with PVC/PU coating is a deliberately heavy-duty choice: at 350 g/m² it is noticeably heavier than lightweight rain shells, which translates directly into better resistance to wear. The seams are taped rather than just stitched, closing off the point where water usually gets in first. The collar is fleece-lined and comfortable against the skin, while the sleeves close with velcro and an inner neoprene cuff that keeps body heat in even when wet. A drip edge at the hem stops water running inside, and the concealed zip and front closure are further secured with snap buttons and a storm button, keeping moisture out at the front.
Two certifications back this coat up. EN 343 confirms protective clothing against bad weather, meaning tested wind and water resistance at a defined class. EN ISO 20471 class 3 stands for high-visibility protective clothing, delivered here through wide reflective strips at 50 mm and 65 mm that keep the wearer visible even in poor light conditions.
