The High Vis Kilt brings an unusual idea to the job site: the ventilation and freedom of movement of a traditional kilt, combined with the demands of modern high-visibility workwear. It's designed for tradespeople, gardeners, drivers, and road or construction workers who are constantly on the move and need to stay visible while doing it. Instead of trousers, Blåkläder offers a garment that stands out visually while still delivering practical function.
The kilt is made from a durable ripstop fabric at 250 g/m², built to hold its shape under the daily wear and tear of construction work. The tool pockets, seat pockets, and ruler pocket are reinforced with CORDURA®, giving them extra resistance to abrasion. The hanging tool pockets are removable and interchangeable, with a tool hook, a dedicated compartment, and zippered pockets for smaller items. A camouflage-print lining, belt loops, an adjustable waist, and rubber-coated metal buttons round out the construction.
The high-vis yellow/black colourway and the 50 mm segmented transfer reflective stripes meet the requirements of EN ISO 20471 Class 2, a standard that governs how visible a person is in daylight and under vehicle headlights, making it especially relevant for anyone working near traffic or on active construction sites. Certification group X applies to the lower body garment and confirms the kilt's suitability as high-visibility workwear under this standard.
