The HV Extreme Clip-On ear defenders are the metal-free version of Portwest's established helmet-mounted hearing protection range. Designed to attach directly to a safety helmet, they are built for environments where non-conductive PPE is mandatory, such as work near live electrical equipment. They are compatible with the Endurance and Height Endurance helmet ranges.

The earcups are made entirely from plastic and are 100% metal-free, which is what makes them suitable for these electrical-safety applications in the first place. The adjustable dual pin system allows multiple positioning options on the helmet arms, so the fit can be tailored to different head shapes. A simple clip mechanism means the earcups attach quickly and can just as easily be moved into a parked position when not in use.

With an SNR rating of 28dB, the earmuffs provide a high level of protection against harmful noise and carry CE-CAT III certification, the highest PPE category for protection against irreversible harm. The colour-coded cups in grey and orange also make it easy to identify the correct attenuation level at a glance, which is useful on sites where different noise zones require different levels of protection.
