This face shield is designed for anyone who needs to protect their face during mechanical work without wearing a helmet. The set includes a standalone headgear with headband and a pre-fitted visor, so it is ready to use straight away and works entirely independently of any safety helmet.
The headgear is made from black polypropylene with a headband in the same material, adjustable in three dimensions via a rotary knob and pinlock closure. A polyamide forehead pad adds comfort during longer wear. The clear polycarbonate visor measures about 39.5 cm wide and 20 cm high, with a thickness of roughly 1.1 mm, and can be fitted to the headgear without tools using adjustment screws, making replacement straightforward. A matching replacement visor is available under item number 40891 should the visor ever need changing.
The headgear is tested to EN 1731 with rating F, meaning it withstands impacts of low energy. The visor meets EN 166 with optical class 1 for good visual clarity and rating B for impacts of medium energy. Since the lower of the two ratings applies to the complete unit, the assembled face shield as a whole is rated for protection against low-energy impacts. The item is supplied in packs of 40, making it a practical choice for equipping whole teams, for example in metalworking, grinding and cutting operations, or other tasks involving splashes or flying debris.
