The inba face shield is a straightforward splash and droplet guard for personal use, designed for anyone who wants an extra layer of visual protection against splashes and droplets reaching the face. The crystal-clear visor covers a viewing width of 27 cm and is held in place by two headbands that adjust via an elastic strap to fit different head sizes. Thanks to its design, the visor sits 3 to 6 cm away from the nose, leaving enough room to wear your own glasses underneath without any trouble. Users have described the wearing comfort as pleasant and unobtrusive, making it suitable for wear over longer periods.
The visor is made from crystal-clear PET film, the same type of material used in some toys, making it safe for close use near the face. The headband is made of white plastic. Both materials are easy to clean, including with disinfectant, which keeps everyday handling simple. If the visor becomes scratched over time, the film can be swapped out easily without needing to replace the whole headband.
It is worth noting what this shield can and cannot do: it protects against splashes and droplets, but it offers no protection against mechanical impact, and applying strong pressure to the visor risks breakage. It is also not 100% reflection-free, is not produced or packaged under sterile conditions, and is not a medically approved product.
