The Blaklader flame-retardant tube scarf is a versatile accessory for anyone who works in conditions involving heat, flames or arc flash risk. It can be worn as a hat, sweatband or headband, protecting the neck and throat from wind and draughts, making it a practical multi-purpose piece for different working situations.

The knitted fabric combines modacrylic, cotton and a small share of other fibres in a ribbed knit construction. The result is a material that feels comfortable against the skin while remaining flame-retardant and antistatic. At 250 g/m², the scarf stays light enough for everyday use under a helmet or cap without compromising on protective performance.

The tube scarf is certified to EN ISO 14116, the standard covering materials with limited flame spread, and EN 1149-5, which governs antistatic protection and helps reduce the risk of electrostatic discharge. Quality 1764 is additionally tested and approved to APC 1, with an ELIM value of 7.3 cal/cm², indicating its protection against heat exposure from an electric arc. The certification labels are placed on the outside so they don't cause irritation when worn.

This makes the scarf well suited to work environments with flame or arc flash hazards, such as electrical work, welding or industrial settings where extra protection for the head and neck is needed.
