The AB199 is an ESD glove built for anyone working in electronics assembly, measurement, or other precision tasks where static discharge can damage sensitive components. It's a more cost-effective version of our flagship A199, technically identical but with reduced packaging and single-colour branding. Sold in packs of 12, it's a practical choice for businesses that get through several pairs on a regular basis.
The shell is a 13-gauge knit made from polyester and carbon fibre, which channels static electricity away in a controlled manner. The palm is dip-coated in smooth PU, boosting abrasion resistance while preserving the fine tactile sensitivity needed for handling small components and tools. The seamless liner gives a close, precise fit without sacrificing breathability, so the glove stays comfortable during extended wear.
The AB199 is CE certified and suitable for use in ESD-controlled environments, where electrostatic discharge poses a risk to sensitive electronics. The antistatic fabric dissipates charge gradually rather than releasing it suddenly, protecting both the component and the wider process.
Typical applications include electronics manufacturing, assembly and testing of electronic sub-assemblies, and measurement or calibration work, where cleanliness, dexterity, and protection from static build-up all matter equally.
