The fabric blends modacrylic, cotton and elastane with a small share of other fibres, knitted in a 1x1 rib structure weighing 360 g/m². This construction gives the shorts a stretchy, close-fitting feel that sits comfortably under tight-fitting workwear, while the elasticated waistband keeps them securely in place throughout the day. The certification labels are placed on the outside of the garment, which helps avoid skin irritation that inside labels can cause.
Certified to EN ISO 14116 Index 3, the fabric offers limited flame protection and reduces the spread of flame after brief exposure. It is also treated to meet EN 1149-5, giving the material antistatic properties that help dissipate electrostatic charge, which matters in environments where that risk is present. Both properties are designed to work alongside outer protective clothing rather than as standalone protection.
