The Douglasie chainsaw protective trousers are built for anyone who works with a chainsaw and needs reliable protective gear – whether in forestry, landscaping, or tree care. Available in sizes 24 to 110, they fit both slim and larger builds, and matching braces are available separately as an accessory.
The outer material and inserts are made entirely of polyester with a water-, oil- and dirt-repellent finish – a real benefit for daily outdoor work, since moisture and grime bead off rather than soaking in. A stretch panel in the crotch area allows freedom of movement even when kneeling or bending, while the raised back panel prevents cold draughts when bending forward. Reinforcements at the hem and knees take the brunt of wear in the most stressed areas, and the YKK front zip ensures lasting function. A practical detail: the cut-protection layer is not fixed to the hem, so the outer fabric can be repaired if damaged instead of replacing the whole garment.
The trousers are certified to EN ISO 11393 Part 2, Class 1, Protection Zone Form A, FPA-approved and tested to the KWF standard – meaning they protect against chainsaw cuts within the designated leg protection zone. The cut-resistant insert itself is DPLF-tested. Reflective piping further improves visibility in low-light conditions, such as at dusk in the forest.
With two side pockets, a rear pocket and a dedicated ruler pocket, the trousers offer plenty of storage for tools and personal items during daily work. They are well suited for forestry workers, arborists and anyone regularly operating a chainsaw who needs certified leg protection.
