The Speierling chainsaw bib trousers are built for anyone working with a chainsaw who needs dependable protection without sacrificing freedom of movement – whether in forestry, landscaping or tree care. The body-hugging, ergonomic cut and the stretch panel in the crotch keep the trousers comfortable even when bending or kneeling for extended periods.
Both the outer fabric and inserts are made from 100% polyester with a water-, oil- and dirt-repellent finish, which makes a real difference when working with wet timber, chain oil or soil, since the material stays cleaner and functional for longer. Reinforcements at the hem and knees take the brunt of daily wear at the most exposed points, while YKK zips keep pockets and closures running smoothly over time. A practical detail for repairs: the cut-protection insert is not fixed to the trouser hem, so the outer fabric can be repaired or replaced after damage without having to discard the whole garment.
The trousers are certified to EN ISO 11393 Part 2, Class 1, protection zone Type A, and are FPA-recognised as well as KWF-standard approved, both regarded as trusted benchmarks in forestry work. The cut-protection insert itself carries DPLF certification. Class 1 indicates protection at a defined chain speed, while Type A covers the front and inner sides of the legs. Reflective piping improves visibility in the woods and on site, and the sturdy, adjustable waistband distributes the weight of the trousers evenly across shoulders and hips.
With a bib pocket with zip, two side pockets, a rear pocket and a ruler pocket, the Speierling offers plenty of storage for tools and small items during forestry work. Available in sizes 24–30, 44–64 and 90–110, it covers a wide range of body measurements.
