The PROTECT chemical protective coverall from NITRAS is built for anyone who needs reliable full-body protection when working with asbestos and asbestos-containing materials. The white coverall shields the head, torso, arms and legs in a single piece and is designed to stay comfortable even during extended wear.
The fabric combines SMS material with a laminate film, giving the suit strong tear resistance without making it feel stiff or heavy. The material is breathable and low-linting, which translates into a genuinely pleasant wearing experience, especially over longer shifts. Elastic bands at the waist, the three-piece hood, and the sleeve and leg cuffs keep the suit fitting snugly and help stop dust or fibres getting in from outside. The full-length zip has a double storm flap with an adhesive strip, and a three-piece crotch gusset adds extra freedom of movement.
The coverall is rated Type 5-B and Type 6-B, confirming protection against airborne solid particles and liquid splashes, and it falls under PPE risk category III, the category for equipment protecting against fatal or irreversible health risks. It also offers protection against infectious agents and has antistatic properties that help reduce particle adhesion.
This makes the PROTECT particularly suitable for asbestos remediation work, demolition and disposal tasks, and any setting where workers may come into contact with hazardous fine dust or infection risks.
