The BizTex SMS Overall from the Portwest BizTex Micro collection is a disposable protective coverall for anyone who needs reliable defence against particles, aerosols and light liquid splashes on the job. Its generous cut makes it easy to pull on over existing workwear, which is especially useful when switching quickly between tasks. It comes in a box of 50, in Navy or White, in sizes from S to 4XL.
The SMS fabric is highly breathable and antistatic, making it more comfortable to wear over longer periods and helping to reduce the heat build-up that often comes with protective clothing. At the same time, its high abrasion and tear resistance keeps the coverall robust enough for more demanding work. Elasticated cuffs at the hood, waist, wrists and ankles ensure a secure fit without restricting movement, and the ergonomically shaped hood follows the contours of the head for a better fit. A two-way zip fastener beneath an additional storm flap makes putting it on and taking it off quick and simple while closing off a potential weak point at the front.
The coverall offers protection to Type 5 and Type 6 standards and is CE-CAT III certified as well as UKCA marked. Type 5 covers protection against solid particles, while Type 6 covers protection against light liquid splashes and sprays - both relevant in environments with dust or aerosol exposure, or when working with mildly splashing liquids. Category III identifies PPE designed to guard against serious hazards, which comes with correspondingly strict testing and manufacturing requirements.
