The SM50 absorbent pad is designed specifically for oil, making it a practical solution wherever hydraulic systems, machinery or vehicles develop leaks that need to be cleaned up quickly. It suits workshops, industrial sites and any environment where oil and hydraulic fluids are handled.
The pad is hydrophobic, which means it absorbs oil while floating on water rather than soaking it up. This makes it especially useful on wet or damp surfaces, where oil has mixed with water but only the oil needs to be captured. Its open edges are designed to let liquid soak in quickly, saving valuable time when dealing with an active leak.
Measuring 50 x 40 centimetres, the pad is a convenient size to keep close at hand and absorbs up to 0.5 litres of oil per piece, enough for smaller to medium spills such as drips from machinery, pumps or hydraulic lines. Its white colour also makes it easy to see where oil has already been picked up.
