The Runner bump cap looks just like an ordinary baseball cap, but hides an ABS plastic shell underneath that protects the head from bumps and knocks. It suits anyone who regularly works around low doorways, shelving or machinery at head height but doesn't want to wear a full safety helmet. Its understated look makes it easy to introduce in workplaces where a helmet would feel out of place.
Depending on the colour, the cap is made either from 100% cotton or from a 65% polyester / 35% cotton blend. Both options feel comfortable for extended wear, while the built-in ABS shell provides the necessary rigidity without making the cap bulky or awkward. Two side vents allow air to circulate, which makes a noticeable difference in warm conditions or when working indoors for long stretches. A hook-and-loop strap at the back adjusts steplessly from 54 to 59 cm, so the cap can be fitted quickly to different head sizes.
The cap is certified to EN 812, the standard for industrial bump caps. It protects the head against impact with fixed, stationary objects, for example bumping into a beam or a shelf, but unlike a full safety helmet it is not designed to protect against falling objects. At around 150 g and with a peak of about 7 cm, it stays light and comfortable to wear throughout the day.
The Runner bump cap is well suited to warehouse and logistics work, workshops, facility maintenance and any site with low ceilings or tight passageways where lightweight head protection is needed. For trade buyers it is available as bulk packaging in boxes of 60, in a choice of blue, black, navy, grey, yellow or orange.
